Prior to entering Law Enforcement Sheriff Knezovich served our Country in the United States Army as a Airborne Combat Medic from 1987 to 1990.

During this time he was stationed at Camp Hovey Korea with the 1/503rd Light Infantry Regiment and Fort Bragg North Carolina.

Sheriff Knezovich held the rank of Sergeant at the time his military service ended.


Sheriff Knezovich has served as:

President of the Washington Sheriffs’ and Police Chiefs’ Association

Co-chair of the following committees and Boards for the Washington Sheriff’s and Police Chief’s Association:

• The Homeland Security Intelligence and Committee
• Law Enforcement Standards, Training and Education Committee
• Washington State Intelligence Fusion Center Executive Board
• Past co-chair of the WASPC Law Enforcement Accreditation

President of the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA). LEEDA is an organization dedicated to developing leadership training for law enforcement leaders.

At the local level Sheriff Knezovich served as:
Co-Chair of the Emergency Communication Board

As a board member or former board member of:

The Salvation Army
The United Way
The ARC of Spokane
Frontier Behavioral Health (Formerly Spokane Mental Health)
Founding member of the Spokane County Human Rights Task Force
